The Candidate Filing Period for 2026 Midterm Election, is January 2 to January 8. All declarations of candidacy and supporting documents must be completed in-person and submitted to the appropriate election official no later than 5:00PM on Thursday, January 8th. Offices will be open to accept filings daily from 8AM to 5PM.

Requirements of Reports

Requirements may differ if specified by municipal ordinance

  • Contributions - date, amount, and name of donor (if known)
  • In-kind contributions - date, market value, description of in-kind contribution, name of donor (if know)
  • Expenditures - date, amount, name of recipient

If a candidate receives less than $500 and makes less than $500 in expenditures, the candidate may report the total amount without itemizations. If the candidate receives or spends more than $500, all contributions and expenditures must be itemized.
